7" - iPad mini, iPad Nano what ever its going to be called, is happening and expected in the normal September iPhone and iPod refresh. Apple need to get a 7" tablet to the market quick before Google and likes get a hold on this part of the market. I look after Apple as a vendor in my day job and not privy to any of their secrets but have a good sixth sense of their seasonal updates. It wont replace the iPad for planning and storage of documents but it will be THE BEST GPS for the left seat on the planet. I will be first in the que to get my hands on one.

Having SkyDemon on the iPhone is not just a matter of a smaller device (true the iPad is BIG, especially on the bowtie yokes of a Cherokee).

It's a matter of safety.

IPads can fail (had twice the overheat issue), like any electronic device.

SkyDemon on IPhone would allow a backup device programmed with the same route information.

No effort, and peace of mind.

Today I have to lose my time programming ANP (so double work) as a backup device. Silly. And the iPhone is MORE than enough for navigation. Remember the first panel GPS with a couple of pixels...

I too would love to see an iPhone version, I have been using Sky Demon for nearly 2 years now, excellent product, I have used this on iPad full size retina display and currently on the iPad Mini and it works fantastic on both devices, I would also like to be able to have it as a back up facility on my iPhone should I ever need it and I can also see the worth to those with really tight cockpits.

I'd like to see an iPhone version, too. Mostly for the sake of safety (after hang up of iPad).

I agree that a NAV only version on iPhone would be good.
A lot of people have only a WIFI iPad (normal size or mini) which doesn't have a real GPS (triangulation only).
The iPhone has a real GPS, so it would make sense.

For the iPhone, fow now (expecting better future, especially if the iPhone screen is getting a little bigger - 5S, 6?), I save the nav as a GPX file with SD, then I send it by mail to myself and open it in AirNav Pro on my iPhone.
Not the easiest, but at least, I can use my iPhone for navigation.

Came here to post this. I would absolutely love to see SD on the iPhone, even if it's just a companion app for en-route navigation. I have all sorts of problems mounting even a 7" tablet in the cockpit, a phone would be much easier to mount.

I do hope this comes one day Smile
